For those of you whose ancestors spelled their last name Igou, there is now an Igou Family Genealogy Forum. I am quite certain that all of the folks who spelled their name "Igou" are related. Somewhere back down the line, a branch of the Igou family dropped the "u" from the end of the name and became known as Igo. There are also other variations spelling variations such as Igoe, Iego and of course, Igon (the handwritten "u" on the end of the name was mistaken for an "n"). Folks who spelled their names with one of these variations may or may not be related. Fir example, I see Iego and Igoe folks from Ireland - Igou is Franch name.
