I don't know the answer to that one. Mike Hudson (hereshudson@aol.com) is a descendant of The Ruth Igou who went to Arkansas and knows quite a bit about Joseph but He doesn't know who Joseph's father is either. The spelling of the name, Igou is a clue that my Andrew Jackson Igou was related. Quite a ways back, the northern branch dropped the "u" from the end of the name and called themselves "Igo".
Incidentally, there is an Igou Genealogy Form. It is new and there is not much on it but I have started using it, hoping that other Igou researchers will use it also.
