The A.J. Igou listed in the 1870 Dekalb County, Alabama census is Andrew Jackson Igou Senior. The Andrew Jackson Igou listed in that census is Andrew Jackson Igou Jr., brother of my ggf James Nathanael Igou. Andrew Jackson Igou Sr. was born 6 Nov 1813 and married Elizabeth Painter in 1835. Andrew Jackson Igou Sr. is listed in 1880 Dekalb County, Alabama census. He died 3 July 1888 and is buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in dekalb County, Alabama.

The concensus among Igou researchers is that Andrew Jackson Igou Sr. was graandson of James Igou and Rebecca Thompason Igou of Bledsoe County, Tennessee.
