In the 1870 Census of DeKalb Co.Alabama, Andrew Jackson Igou(b/1858) is listed in the household of A. J. Igo. From info gathered, A. J. is Ambrose Joseph Igo/Igou born about 1815 in Tennessee. Wife is Elizabeth b/1822 also Tennessee. This same Joseph Igou is listed in the 1880 Census of Hot Springs, Arkansas as Joseph L.Igow, aged 72 TN. He has obviously remarried a Bela V.(UK)Igou. Most interesting also is that one Rutha Igow, aged 87, born Tennessee,is listed in this census as the mother of Joseph(1815). Joseph's daughter Rutha(Igou)Harding(w/hus and family) is living beside the said Joseph. Rutha, dau of Joseph was obviously named after her grandmother. Someone in these conglomerations has stated that Andrew Jackson Igou(1858) was a grandson of James. If true, then this makes Rutha (1793) the wife of James and places Joseph(1815) as a son thereof. Have I garbled this ???? Sid Dewberry, N. GA. Notify Administrator about this message?
