There is a Timothy Ide listed in the 1790 census for Caugnnawaga,NY (now Troy,Mayfield area)that shows 2 females and 4 sons. This may be the connection you are looking for.
Any info you have on the Ide's in this area would be appreciated, as I have hit a dead end going back from that census, but have info coming forward.(Nathan, son of Timothy moved to E. Shelby NY some time after this.)
