The J.F. Ide in the 1910 Census for Prec. 31, Weld Co, CO, p. 165, is really I.F Ide as follows with children:
Ide, I.F., Head, f, w, 44, Wd, 5 children born, 3 children alive, b. Illinois, fb. NY, mb., NY, farmer
Ide, Edna I., daughter, f, w, 21, S, b. CO, teacher public school
Ide, Albert M., son, m, w, 19, S, b. CO, farmer
Ide, Erma L., daughter, f, w., 10, b. CO

This Ide family lived in Boulder Co. in 1900 (index lists them as Ida, but I looked at it & it's definitely them). John obviously died between 1900-1910.
Ide, John, w, m, b. Jan 1850, 50, Married 13 yrs, b. NY, house carpenter
Ide, Ida F., w, f, b. Aug 1866, 33, Married 13 yrs, b. IL
Ide, Edna, w., f, b. Sept 1888, 11, s, b. CO, at school
Ide, Albert M., w, m, b. Dec 1890, 9, s, b. CO
Ide, Lucy, w, f, b. May 1900

I didn't find them in the 1920 Census, do you have more info?
