Ide, Nicholas (1585) of Ide, Devon, England

The LDS has a Nicholas Ide born in 1585 in Ide, Devon, England. He is listed as the father of Nicholas Ide (1620?) of Rehoboth, MA. Can anyone confirm this?

Since the Rehoboth Nicholas had a son named Nicholas whom the original Rehoboth Nicholas refers to as "the second" in his will, it seems strange that there would in fact be yet another Nicholas.

Does anybody have any information on the reasons for Nicholas' coming to Massachusets?
