Back about 5 years ago the following message about Olive Iddings was posted:
Olive Iddings born 1822 in Floyd County, Virginia, died 8/26/1855, first married J. P. Lawrence who died in 1845 in Floyd Co., Va. He died before their son, Raleigh F. (Roley) was born. Olive Iddings married (2) on June 13, 1847 Floyd Co.,Va., to Wilson T. Light b. 1823 Floyd Co., Va.
I have been unable to contact the writer of the above message who was identified as Leona Latham-Simonini.
Does anyone know what the source of the supposed marriage of Olive to J.P. Lawrence? I can find no such marriage in the records, and is she were married, why did she use the surname Iddings on her marriage certificate to Wilson Light?
