MARIE, WV - Leslie H. Iddings, 94, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, in Rocky Mount, Va., following a short illness.
Born May 28, 1910, he was the last surviving child of Giles W. and Ollie Hoeback Iddings.
Mr.Iddings was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and had worked as a carpenter and construction worker throughout Summers and surrounding counties.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zula Hudson Iddings; and a daughter, Bonnie Iddings.
Survivors include a daughter, Lois Welch and husband, Milford, of Rocky Mount; three grandchildren, Randy Welch of Kernersville, N.C.,
Bob Welch and wife, Crissy, of Scott Depot and Cindy Doucette of
McLean, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Oak Leslie Welch and Brooke Ivy
Welch; a sister-in-law, Carrie Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at New Hope United Methodist Church,
Marie, with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Burial will follow in New
Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors
Chapel, Hinton, and one hour before service Sunday at the church.
