Just found the grandfather of James and John Bascom, early pioneers of Twin Falls, County Idaho. James Bascom built the store that now stands at the Stricker Ranch in 1865 and his brother John Bascom was killed by Chief Buffalo Horn at Glens Ferry, Idaho in 1878. James Bascom's mother was Sarah E. (Bascon)(Porter) Bruner. Her parents were Aaron Bascom and Sarah (Keeler) Bascom of New York and Putnam County Illinois.
