Hi Janis,
According to his headstone application he was born in Diggins, Webster Co. MO 7/1/1906 and died 2/16/1946.
He enlisted 6/15/1943 and was honorably discharged 10/5/1943. He is shown as a PVT in AC 507 TR GP. The headstone was requested by Violet A. Brumback of Shoshone, ID in Aug/1946. It was shipped to S. W. Brumback Nampa, ID

John Henry Brumback was the son of Sanford Woodsen Brumback and Mahala Daniels.

Children of S. W. and Mahala were:
Claude L. b. ~ 1905
John H. b. 1906
Jasper H. b. ~ 1910
Clay O b. ~ 1915
Maglee b ~ 1926 (prob. Gladys Euraclee Brumback)

The family lived in Webster Co. MO, then moved to Crawford Co. KS by 1920 and migrated to Idaho by 1940.

I assume Violet was John's wife, though I cannot confirm that.
