Martin Van Buren Warner was born in Indiana (parents unknown), as was his wife, Hannah Minerva (maiden name unknown). They were married around 1855, probably in Indiana, and had eight children, four of whom died prior to 1900. He served in the Civil War with Company K of the Indiana 5th Cavalry. At the time of his enlistment (1862) they lived in Jasper Co. The family lived in Taos Co., NM, in the 1880s, and Ada Co. in 1900.
