The Minnesota Birth Index:
Mary Coates, born 2 Oct 1904 in Ramsey County, mothers maiden name Hardy
The California Death Index:
Mary Coates, born 10/02/1904 in Minnesota, mothers maiden name Hardy, died 5/14/1986 in Los Angeles County, SSN: 548-03-7045

The 1910 Census for Boise, Ada County, ID, enumerated 20 April
Henry Charles Coates, age 36 (1873/1874), born in England to both parents born in England, florist/green house, immigrated 1902, married 7 years
Eliza M, age 42 (1867/1868), born in England to both parents born in England, immigrated 1903, mother of two
Mary, age 5 (1904/1905), born Idaho
Harry (shown as daughter), age 3 (1906/1907), born Idaho

The World War I Draft Registration Card Image Database:
Henry Charles Coates, born March 15, 1875 in England, living at 1309 East Jefferson, Boise, Florist, Boise Floral Company. Nearest Relative was Eliza Mary Ellis Coats. He was tall, slender, gray eyes and light hair. He registered on Sept 12, 1918.
---NOTE: Due to his wife having the name "Ellis", that gives some credence to the maiden name of the mother (See my other post re: Nancy).
--The WWI Draft cards seemed to have 1 year of error on about half that I've reviewed.
--The Draft registration DOES NOT indicate that they served in the war.

The 1920 Census for Boise, Ada County, enumerated Jan 8-9.
Henry C. Coates 42 (1877/1878), imm 1902, Renting at 1309 E. Jefferson.
Eliza M 41
Mary 15, born Minnesota
Henry 13, born Idaho
--Because this census is so early in 1920, the children were probably born in 1904 and 1906.
--Henry aged 6 years from 1910, Eliza lost a year of age.

Couldn't find them in the 1930 Census either... SOMEWHERE they had to be... back later.
