I was reading your forum posting on genealogy.com and I believe I can shed some light on your Killbuck relations. I am a descendent of Mary Jane Pye (Killbuck). Pye to the best of my knowledge was Mary Janes father, not grandfather. I was always told that he was a mountain man, but of unknown bloodlines either white or Deleware, but the leaning has always been towards white. Mah-wa-taise is Diadema's daughter. There is a great book written by her ggggranddaughter, called Keeper of the Deleware Dolls (written by Lynette Perry). It gives a bit of history of Mah-wa-taise in it. She was an amazing woman. Diadema died while trying to cross a river with Mah-wa-taise, but Mah-wa-taise lived. Mary was first married to Israel Haff, my gggg(?) grandfather and grandmother. There is a lot of history with the Deleware Dolls and why they were passed down from generation to generation (maternal) in our family, if you are interested in the hearing....I can tell you.
