I wondered if your Ida May was born earlier than you realize. THere is a Samuel O. yeager who died in Oregon Feb 15, 1929 in Columbia county and an Ida May who died March 2, 1958-she lives with her son Herbert M. after her husband dies -Herbert is divorced and has his sons George, Floyd and Leroy living with him and his mother Ida in Saint Helens, Columbia Oregon in 1930 So when looking in census I found Samuel Yeager in the 1900 census of THe state of Idaho, Shoshone county , Orofino (Shoshone was a much larger county in 1900) Samuel is 44 born Wisconsin b. Sept 1855 wife Mrs. Ida May age 33 b. May 1867 children Clyde age 14 b. May 1886 wisconsin, Herbert b. May 1890 10 years old born Idaho,Edith b. Sept 1892 in Idaho age 7, and Homer age 1 born June 1899 Ida had 6 children but only 4 are living and Samuel is a farmer So that is the months and years in that census, In 1910 they live in Colville, Stevens county Washington Hebert, Edith and Homer still living with them. Samuel is a laborer in a saw mill.
Is that a possibility of your family. Because it gives a much earlier range to look for Ida if this is the right group?
