William H. Caddy MONTROSE--William H. Caddy, 73, a retired farmer and a resident of the Western Slope for most of his life, died at 2 p.m. Thursday in Montrose Memorial Hospital. A resident of Montrose for 32 years, Mr. Caddy came here from Idaho where he had farmed for 20 years. He was a native of Ouray. He was married in Filer, Idaho to Leona Sieber. Mrs. Caddy died some years ago. He is survived by a son, Henry Caddy of Gypsom; a daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Mabel) Cooper of Phoenix; three brothers, Joe, George and Arthur Caddy, all of Montrose; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hoch, Mrs. James Middleton and Mrs. Will Watts, all of Montrose, and Mrs. Lester Israel of Ridgway; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Conley Chapel. The Rev. Lloyd McMillam, pastor of the Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery. Note: This was taken from a clipping found in the estate of Mabel "Bobbie" Etta Caddy Cooper Smith. There was no date on the clipping. William was born on 5 Aug 1888, married on 7 Dec 1912, and died on 8 Mar 1962. Notify Administrator about this message?
