Nancy: Here is some of the info that I have on Wiegert, Rufus G. from the 1900 census.
Rufus G. Wiegert born March 28, 1871 married 6 yrs, born in CT as were his parents; Barber Ada, born May 25, 1875 2 children, with 2 living, born in NY father in ENG and mother in NY Rufus G., Aug. 1899 9/12: UT CT NY
Evans, Earl N., stepson, born April 9, 1891 ID UT NY half brother of Earl
Rufus George Wiegert died Aug 1940 in Los Angeles he was born 20 Aug 1898 in UT mothers maden name was Atwood.

Evans, earl N., 37 married at age 22, born in ID and parents in US Laborer; Rented home for $14.00 per month; he was a veteran of the world war.
Lenna Lucille Sainsbury 37 married at age 22 born in Ut and parents in ENG

Raymond 5, born in CA
Ada May 4, born in CA
Gordon 3, born in CA
Rachel 2 born in CA
I changed the Jordan to Gordon as this is my uncles real name. raymond died at an early age from an accidental hanging, he was playing in a tree and fell through a y branch and broke his neck. The rest of the kids lived into old age and died of natural causes, my aunt rachel was the last to pass and that was this April.
As you can see it doesn't really state who Earls mother is so it is very confusing. I certainly hope that Emma Raymond is his mother and that Wiegert was one of her husbands and that Earl had to live with him and not his mom. Oh Well! I certainly appreciate your efforts, this has solved a big mystery in our family. thanks,
