I've been baffled on one nagging problem - I can't seem to find any information to indicate that my grandfather existed prior to the censuses in Idaho. The censuses from Missouri list his parents, (as far as I know Mounce and Mary are his biological parents), but he's not listed on those censuses.

The only family member that I KNOW of was his sister Minnie. My mom said that she and my dad would take my grandpa up to Caldwell to visit her occassionally. The censuses include Minnie, who was born in 1895, but no mention of George. I guess it's possible that he was adopted, but still you would think that he would show up as being in their household on a census.

Anyway, the pursuit continues! Thank you very much for your interest and your help.

John
