I am researching a line of the Nyce family that possibly started in New Jersey. John Nyce was born 22 July 1831 in Sandiston, New Jersey. He married Martha Ann Allen 28 December 1853 in Port Jervis, New York. She was born 1833 in Orange County, New York. John was the son of John W Nyce and Maria Van Campen. He died 13 April 1880 in Milford, Pennsylvania. They had at least two sons. John W born 15 July 1855 in New York and George M born 1877 in Milford, Pennsylvania. George married Lillian Midgley 12 October 1901 in Lowell, Massachusetts. She was born in in England to Robert Midgley and Clarissa Craven. She came to America in 1886. At the time of their marriage he was residence was in Caldwell, Kansas. George and Lillian appear to have moved around a lot years between 1901 and 1930. I have not been able to locate either one of them in the 1900 or 1910 Census. During the 1920 Census they are listed as living on the Fort Apache Military Post in Whiteriver, Arizona with his occupation being a Forester for Indian services. During the 1930 Census they are listed as living in the Lovell Precinct (a widely unorganized territory until about 1915) in Benewah County, Idaho. No town is listed just that they lived in Lovell Precinct. His occupation at at that time he was a Forest Ranger. This is all I have on these two. No children are listed with them on either the 1920 or 1930 Census. I am looking for where they lived in 1910, if they had any children, where they finally settled died and was buried. I believe Lillian was dead between 1930 and 3 October 1950 for which her sister died naming her surviving siblings. Although, because they moved around so much they may have lost touch. I would also like to locate them in the 1900 Census even thought they were not married at the time, they may have known each other and she may have been visiting in Kansas when they met (This is a long shot) Notify Administrator about this message?
