I did know mostly of where he was up until 1910 then -nothing. This is what I want to know or learn before I make a long drive up to Idaho. It would be great to know in advance which direction I am to head to.

You did not find his family after 1860 because he became an orphan. He was farmed out to various families in the Barton Co. area...he is a little mixed up as to where his father was born and where he himself was born. He mostly lists locations of birth that belong to other members of his family.
