Hi,
I THINK I found his family in 1860 living in Union, Barton Co., MO.
Joseph McMahon, b. PA, 45, farmer.
Mary A., wife, b. VA, 34.
Elizabeth, b. IA, 16.
James, b. IL, ?.
Lewis, b. MO, 3.

In 1900 he was living in Big Flat, Owyhee Co., ID.
Louis E. Mcmahon, employee, b. IA, Aug 1857, stock herder.

In 1910 he was living in Hagerman, Lincoln Co., ID.
Lewis E. Mcmahon, divorced, b. IA, 54, farm laborer, father born-Ireland & mother born-VA.

I didn't find any of his family members after the 1860 Census.

You can contact Lincoln County Tax Assessor, state.id.us/aboutidaho/county/lincoln.html and hopefully find out more about the land he owned.

Some of the Lincoln County Cemeteries are on line at accessgenealogy.com/cemetery/idaho/lincoln_county.htm .

There isn't a genealogy society in LIncoln County, however, the Idaho State Historical Society has records for most of the counties in Idaho. Go to idahohistory.net/ . Successful Searching!
