>I have a Harold Hemmingway who was married to Isabel Whitlam from Ontario. According to an immigration paper she came into US via Detroit, MI on August 25, 1916 with her son Robert.

I found the typed image for the above immigration(s) dated August 25, 1916:
Isabel Hemmingway and son Robert. She born Toronto, Canada, last permanent residence in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada. Her nearest relative was her brother Harry Whitlan (ends with "N", not "M"). She was previously in the USA from 1915 to March 1916 in Bryant, North Dakota. She was enroute to Salt Lake, Utah, to her husband Harold Hemmingway at 221 13th Street. She was 5'-5 3/4", fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes.
--Robert's card basically said "see mother", but he was listed as 11 Mon. Although transcribed as 11 years, the card says 11 Mon.

A handwritten List or Manifest is also found for her with the same information, but does not include Robert. So, he was probably being carried, indicating age of 11 months.

The 1920 Census for Salt Lake City Ward 4, Salt Lake County, Utah
-Harold Hemingway (appears to be written with one "M"), age 32, born in Canada to both parents born in Canada, immigrated 1916, President of the State Bank. His citizen status is written "PA", for papers, indicating he had submitted his Declaration of Intent (for citizenship)
-Isabell, age 30, born in Canada to both parents born in Canada, citizenship is "AL" for Alien.
Robert, son age 4 3/12, born in South Dakota to both parents born in Canada.
--census was enumerated no day, January, 1920. So he was born about Sep/Oct 1915. So, with his age on the immigration as being 11 months in August 1916, he was "probably" born in Sep 1915.

The 1930 Census for Ogden, Weber County, Utah
Harold E(as trancribed, but could be an "O" or even "L"), age of 40, born in Canada, immigrated 1916. Listed as being married
Robert A, 14, born in South Dakota
Richard K, 9, born in Utah
Thirza A, mother age 62, widow born in Canada
--An August 3, 1930 Ogden Standard Examiner:
"Mrs. T.A. Hemingway and her two grandsons, Robert and Richard Hemingway, leave today for Alaska for a months vacation. H.F. Hemingway will accompany the party as far as Seattle.
--Sept 1st:
From Alaska-- Mrs. T.A. Hemingway and her two grandsons Richard and Robert Hemingway, sons of H.E. Hemingway, have returned from Alaska, where they spent the past month.
--July 12, 1931:
H.E. Hemingway, sons Robert and Richard, and mother, Mrs. T.A. Heminway, will leave Saturday for Robinson's bar, on Salmon river, in Idaho. Mr. Heminway will return in a short time, but Mrs. Hemingway and her grandsons will remain five weeks.
--December 27, 1936:
Robert Hemingway, who is attending the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and Howard Christensen, who is attending the University of Utah, are spending the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Hemingway (So it appears Harold remarried, she being former Christensen).
--July 15, 1938:

It "appears" Robert may have followed his father in the banking industry in Ogden.

Richard K. Hemingway, born 18 Oct 1920, died 12 Oct 1996 in Salt Lake City, UT.

His obit:
Richard K. Hemingway
Salt Lake Tribune, The (UT) - Monday, October 14, 1996
Author: Salt Lake Tribune

Richard K. Hemingway , age 75, husband, father, grandfather and friend, died peacefully of natural causes on October 12, 1996.
Richard was born October 18, 1920, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Harold E. Hemingway and Isabell Whitlam Hemingway . He married his lifelong companion, Shirley Veda Strandquist, on November 4, 1948, at the Ogden Golf and Country Club.
Rich graduated from Ogden High School. He attended the University of Washington where he was affiliated with and president of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Upon completion of his studies at the University of Washington, he returned to Ogden to continue his banking career with his father and brother.
Before going to the University of Washington, Richard worked with his dad at Commercial Security Bank. He used to say, "My dad and I have the best jobs in the bank: bank chaser and the bank president."
Richard became president of CEO of CSB and IB&T at the untimely death of his brother in 1966. He had incredible talents as a banker and leader. Through his vision of creating a statewide banking franchise, his ability to surround himself with loyal, qualified and motivated employees, his focus, plus his business instincts, Richard created two statewide banking empires both in Idaho and in Utah. His talents as a banker were recognized when he was awarded the Utah Bankers Association "Banker of the Year" award in 1992 at the Utah Bankers Convention. Richard, Robert and Harold are the only three fathers and sons to be Utah Bankers Association Presidents.
Richard's "by word" was public service. He was a driving force in the economic development in both Utah and Idaho. He used his position as a business leader to help create jobs, stimulate economic growth and provide vision and leadership for our intermountain area. He has been recognized by his peers for his commitment numerous times. Not only was Richard a businessman and community leader, he was a philanthropist. Dad instilled in his family the importance of giving back to the community. Through his businesses, CSB, IB&T and Town & Country Life Insurance Company, and through his foundations, The Hemingway Family Foundation, the Shirley S. Hemingway Oncology Unit, The Shirley S. Hemingway Four Seasons Garden, Weber State Faculty Trust and the Mortiz Hospital Support Trust, he truly has given back to the community.
Family above all else was nearest and dearest to Richard's heart. His beloved companion, lover and wife, Shirley, supported him in all his efforts. He loved to share his time and adventures with his wife, his five children and their families. Whether a trip to Sun Valley, Idaho, a weekend at the family cabin, or an exotic adventure to Asia, Richard loved to spend time with his family.
He will be dearly missed, yet Dad serves as an inspiration and role model on how to live a good, full life and illustrates that one person can make a significant difference.!
Survived by son, Henry S. Hemingway (Patrice Jean) of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughters, Ann H. Van Meeteren of Bend, Oregon; Jane H. Mason (Bill) of Sun Valley, Idaho; and Helen H. Cardon (Jeff) of Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Ann Marie, Richard Henry, Hallie, Kathleen, George, Hank, Madeline, Olivia and Charles.
Preceded in death by Shirley, his beloved wife; Hal, his son; and Robert, his only brother.
The Hemingway family wants to thank Alice, Bruce, Cindy, Courtney, Don, Jan, Jennifer, Joan, Kim, Nancy, Sharon, Tammy, Trish, Valerie, Liz at IHC Homecare, Dr. Mason and Dr. Rothstein for all the tender loving care you gave Dad in his final years.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South. Memorial services will follow at 12 noon at Red Butte Gardens Arboretum Amphitheater, 300 Wakara Way. Friends may call at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, on Monday, 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Utah Opera, Utah Symphony, Red Butte Gardens, or Weber State Faculty Trust.

Without knowing what all you have on this family, I'll end with that.
