Laura Mathilda Gillard is the sister of my Grandfather Joseph Gillard. I have some information on Mathilde. In the church records for Baptisms at the L’Assomption, Sandwich, Canada her name is listed as Marie Mathilde Laurette GILLARD. B. 19 Jan 1883, bapt . 21 Jan 1883- d/o Francis & Mathilde Menard. Sponsors: Remi Pare, Elizabeth Menard. The 1900 US Census Bay City ,MI she is listed as Mathilda born 1883 age 17, Born in Canada Eng, her father born in Canada FR. Her mother born in Canada Eng. Occupation Dressmaker. Other important info They came to the US in 1887. Frank and Matilde have been married for 28 years and Matilde had 14 births, 9 are still living. In the 1910 US Census Bonners Ferry Idaho. Frank and Matilde are listed with 3 children Frank, Thomas and Lucy. Matilde is probably married. I also Have birth records from Boundry, County, Idaho, Matilda has 3 children listed 3 Jun 1908 Ethlyn Rose, 4 Aug 1914 a female no name is listed and 3 Aug 1921 Edward Frank.. I can’t wait to hear back!
