Daniel registered for the World War I Draft. The Registration Cards, for 1917-1918, dated June 5, 1917 in Boise, Ada, Idaho has the following information:

Daniel Maurice Boland, age 30.

Two addresses given:
700 5 - N - 9th Street Boise, Idaho
413 Union Boise, Idaho

Born January 18,1887 in Appleton, Wisc. His present occupation is Clerk. He is employed with the Boise Payette Lumber company in Boise, Idaho.He is married. He is short, medium build with brown eyes and dark brown hair.

I found a couple of newspaper articles that mentioned them:

BOLAND- Mrs. Rill R. Boland died Tuesday night at the family home 1314 1/3 State Street. She was 31 years of age, and had resided in Boise for several years. She is survived by her husband, D.M. Boland,, her parents Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Morgan of Boise, and three sisters and one brother. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Summers and Krebs chapel. The Christian Science Church will have charge of the services. Burial will be in Morris Hill Cemetery.
