Sorry for the delay in answering. I am still waiting for the photo of the S.S. Lake Manitoba and info. that I requested regarding conditions,fares,etc. When I receive it, I will forward it to you, if it proves worthwhile.
Saw info. on the sinking of the Parisian in 1905(with a photo) @:

I am actually looking for information on two ships: the Lake Manitoba and Parisian. My father, grandparents, and maternal great-grandparents, travelled together in a party of sixteen. I gather that passage was overbooked and they had to separate; whether
that occurred in Iceland or Liverpool is still undetermined.From a small account in one our family chronicles, they "suffered from sickness and lack of food and milk for the children". My father was two years old at the time and apparently his year old sibling died at sea. The stories of hardship
are incredible. I'll keep in touch.
