As I enter information in my family tree about my Icelandic ancestors who were born about 1600 with known death dates I find their average life span is about twice the average life span for that era. I find that interesting and know that my Icelandic ancestors have continued to live to their 80īs and 90īs, but the average life span of the rest of the world is improving.
I know research has been done in the field of Icelandic longevity gene with no conclusive results. Does anyone know if the research is continuing?
