Hi Maggi

Don’t know much of this family. Per 1910 census, Gudrun Olafsdóttir had five children, only one still alive, presumably Olafur Jonas, who at that time was an odd-job laborer in Mountain. I do not know what happened to him later. As for the others, I have Armann as dying very young (20 Mar 1883), but that could certainly be incorrect (you have him in Washington state). I only have three identified (same as you list), so perhaps Gudrun had children with someone else? Before the apparent retirement in Mountain, they were in East Alma Township of Cavalier County, west-southwest of Mountain. Sorry I don’t have anything more.
A question: Jon certainly got around in Iceland prior to emigration. I sometimes have difficulty transposing to English the placenames. Is Hömrum = Hamrar and Hamri = Hamar or just opposite?
