Barna Sveini
Posted by: Helgi Austman (ID *****6442) Date: September 23, 2012 at 13:23:02

Is it legitimate to request the ancestors and descendants of a person referenced in a document containing members of my extended family?
I have a copy of the Passion Hymns of Petursson, 1857 edition. It has an introduction which is the genealogy of who they call Barna Sveini because of the number of his children. The document relates to Gudbrandur Thorlaksson Holar bishop and others in the Fjeldsted line of my grand mother Helga Thorbergsdottir Fjeldsted.
Has the Introduction ever been translated into English? I have translated enough to get the sense of it.
