Benedikt Kristjánsson previous marriage

Well, as I plod through the details tidbits are arising. I now show enough info to be reasonably sure that Benedikt Kristjánsson married previously in Iceland before coming to Canada in 1879 and marrying Björg Auđunardóttir in 1895.

Here's what I have:
Benedikt Kristjánsson
b. 3 Oct 1846 Presthvammi í Reykjadal, Iceland d. 12 Nov 1925 Bifrost, Manitoba, Canada

Married (16 Jul 1895)
Björg Auđunardóttir,
f. 9. apríl 1858 í Efranesi í Stafholtstungnahr í Borg,
d. 10. mars 1940 á Hvoli,
húsfreyja á Finnastöđum viđ Íslendingarfljót í Manitoba, s.k.Benedikts, .
[V-Ísl.ć.II, I.River.s.487]

Married (2 Jul 1874)
Holmfridur Kristjansdottir (b. abt 1849 - d. 21 Jul 1893) The 1891 (20 Apr 1891) Canada census shows her at 41 years old in Lisgar, Manitoba, Canada and lists 3 kids (all but Valdimar).

I have a 2 Jul 1874 marriage record in Gardar I Kelduhverfi,Nordur-Thingeyjarsysla,Iceland

Children of Benedikt and Holmfridur (all show born in Iceland on 1891 census, -Questionable for Karl though based on 1879 immigration date of parents):
(all should likely be Benediktsson/dottir)
Siqurbjorn Kristjanson        abt 15 in 1891
Sigurtog Kristjansdottir       abt 13 in 1891
Karl Kristjanson        abt 8 in 1891
Valdimar BENEDIKTSSON b. abt 1874?

Does anyone else have anything similar, or verification this is right or wrong?

Cheers,
Wayne
