Well, as I said, he was born in Iceland - his ancestry is pretty well known, so if you have any questions regarding that, just ask.

He is present in the 1860 census, but the whole family is missing in the 1870 census. That could be because they might have lived in the part of the country where the 1870 census was lost. It is known, however, that his father was working at a printer in Denmark for some time, but he had returned in 1880. It is perfectly possible that Thorkell remained in Denmark, and never returned to Iceland, so the part about emigrating from Denmark might well be 100% accurate.

If you can give me any information on what became of him, or his descendants, I would appreciate it - he just disappears from Icelandic records after the 18860 census.
