I am looking for information on the offspring of Jónatan Jónasson - (born Aug. 4, 1829 - Húnavatnssýla, Iceland) and his wife Þorbjörg Guðmundsdóttir - (born March 9, 1832 - Svertingsstaðir in the Melstaðir parish of Iceland).
They were married Sept. 29, 1854 at Haugur, Efri-Nupur, Miðfjörður, Hunavatnssýsla, Iceland.
He died Feb. 11, 1901 in Arnes, Manitoba, Canada.
Her death date is unknown. She died in Iceland sometime before 1886 when Jónatan emigrated to Canada with 3 of his children and a housekeeper.
I have records of him having six children, but believe he may have had more. The six that I have and the only information I have on them is:
Agnes Jónatansdóttir, born June 6, 1855 in Fremri-Nupur, Efri-Nupur, Nupsdalur, Iceland. died Dec. 18, 1928 in Canada.
Kristín Jónatansdóttir, born about 1856 in Iceland.
Helga Jónatansdóttir, born about 1857 in Iceland.
Ingibjörg Groa Jónatansdóttir, born Aug. 28 in Efri-Nupur, Torfastaðahreppur, Hinavatnssýsla, Iceland. died Sept. 30, 1937 in Canada.
Eiríkur Jónatansson, born about 1862 in Iceland. died 1887 in Canada.
Jónas Jónatansson, born May 31, 1868 in Iceland. died Aug. 6, 1936 in Canada.
Any additional information and/or additions to the above would be greatly appreciated.
