Well, Rósa Mikaelsdóttir (daughter of Mikael Árnason and Oddný Jóhannesdóttir) emigrated in 1888 with her daughter, Margrét Jónsdóttir, who was born in 1876. That might well be the one in question, as the age matches.

Rósa had a sister, Margrét Mikaelsdóttir, who emigrated as well.
