Eyjólfa Bergþórsdóttir left Iceland in 1888 at age 12 from Meirigarður, Myrahreppur, Ísafjarðarsýsla from Isafjörd on the SS Copeland.
She was with her mother, Jónina Halldórsdóttir, (age 49),
sisters Guðrún Bergþórsdóttir, age 19, Þóra Katrin Bergþórsdóttir, age 10, and brother Jón Halldór Bergþórsson, age 18.
