Hi, my name is Sonja Kristensen. I am looking for a man named Álfur Magnússon. He was born 26 February 1871.

Some people say that he left Iceland from the Vestfjords to Canada or USA in the year 1898. Other people say that he may have drowned on his way to a ship that was about to leave Iceland.

Some stories say that he came back to Iceland. Another story says that he was seen in USA.

Alfur is the great great grandfather of my daughter in law.
I am interested in finding out what realy happened.
