I know nothing about Teitur's wherabouts in Canada (but much about his descendants in Iceland). Teitur's sister, Sigurbjörg, b. 1851, married Halldór Benjamín Jónsson and had several children. Their son Tómas, b. 1876, emigrated 1909 with his wife Sofía Jakobsdóttir. They lived in Árborg Man., Elfros Sask., Lundar Man. and finally in Winnipeg. Their children:
1) Gudrun b. 1905, married Robert Jack McWhirter in Fort William, Ontario.
2) Sigurbjörg Helga b. 1908, d. 1917.
3) Halldor Jakob b. 1910 lived in Riverton and Gimli, Man.
4) Thorbergur b. 1912, lived in Balcarres and Yorkton, Sask.
5) Bryndis b. 1914, d. 1932.
6) Sigurbjörg Helga b. 1918, married T.O. Turner, lived in Winnipeg, Man.

Maybe these names will help in the search for Teitur Oddleifsson? What do you think Russ?

Regards,
Halfdan
