In the census it says Magnús Sigurðsson emigrated in 1888, in the book Vesturfaraskrá there are 2 Magnús Sigurðsson´s to chose from, but only the one on page 263 seems to fit. 1887, Magnús Sigurðsson, casual worker, age 39 , port Reykjavik, ship Bewick (to Scotland) fare paid to Winnipeg. Left from the farm Írafell, Lýtingsstaðahreppur, Skagafjarðarsýsla. He would be born about 1848.
