Hi Russ, HI Gwen... Are you located in Canada or Iceland? I guess Iceland becuse of all the spellings :O)
If you are in Iceland do you know who I contact to obtain their birth/marriage certificates?
Wow oh wow. Thank you so much for all the amazing and wonderful information. I am going to follow up and see if I can get the birth certificates for Magnús Sigurðsson and Oddbjörg Pétursdóttir
On the Newstead side - we all keep in touch. Most of the Newsteads I think are ex wives of one of my cousins who has had more of his share of wives and ex's. :O)
But we have a family BBQ every year so any who are related in any form come to visit. One Newstead married and lives in the USA and there is a whole tree who is American now called Henderson.
My father & his siblings are in their 70's now... I want you to know how much I and they appreciate any information on their mother or her family. It has always been a mystery and since Lillian died (she drowned when I was 7 in our swimming pool) in the 1970's - any information was lost with her.
