A composed word of Blá (from "blár" meaning blue) and mýrar (plural of mýri = wetland)
In the wetland grows a certain type of grass, called "stör", can be either yellow (gulstör) or blue (blástör) when "blooming". So my guess is that the name of the farm is derived from the blue wetland. Difficult to explaine. Hope you understand the meaning :-)
See that you raise a question to me personally at this forum, which is of course quite allright. But I don't come here regulary. I have my own website, own forum and own Mail list to think about. So I might oversee a question here.
Regarding Salman, I think I gave you all information I have some months (years?) ago. Did I? My only info is that Salman and Rosa lived in N-Dakota until about 1900 and after that they lived in Winnipeg.
