The number of Icelanders settling in Brazil was simply too small for any Icelandic community to be established in the first place....there were no Icelandic-language newspapers, no Icelandic churces and so on.There are people there today that can trace their ancestry to the Icelandic settlers, but the Icelandic heritage does not seem to play any significant role in their live.....so the situation is quite different from the Icelandic communities that formed in Canada.
