There is an important difference.The family trees going back to Snorri's brother are well documented, with contemporary references.
However, as far as Sorri is concerned, I am sorry, but I must consider all linages going from him to people alive today to be utterly bogus, perhaps based on a misunderstanding or simply sloppy work.
If anyone has a family tree that goes back to Snorri, I would be interested in seeing the linage from Snorri and the next 8-10 generations - but I am am virtually certain that any such linage will turn out to be flawed.
