Tecumseh was the son of Mary Ice daughter of Fredrick Ice and Mary Galloway Ice (first marriage). Fredrick and Mary children were Mary Ice, John Ice, Christine and 'indian billy' ice. These children were taken by the Shawnee to raise as their own. Fredrick Ice was married a second time to Eleanor Levingston who had a son Andrew Ice. Andrew Ice married Mary Belles. Mary Belles-Ice, Fredrick Ice's daughter in law in his second marriage is often confused with Mary Ice his daughter from his first marriage. Mary Ice, Fredricks daughter, adopted by the Shawnee, was married to Pucksinekau, which was Tecumseh's mother and father.
Fredrick Ice is my great grandfather (8 generations) direct decendent.
