Mary was the 5th child born to William Galloway "Indian Billy" ICE and Margaret HIGGINBOTHAM. She was born abt 1775 near Buffalo Creek in what is now Barrackville, Marion County, WV. She died abt 1840 near Folsom in Wetzel County, WV. She was first married to James Edgell, Sr. on 9 Apr 1795 in Monongalia County, WV. James died abt 1805 and she soon married Abraham Shreve abt 1806. Her first marriage brought 6 children with 4 more with her husband Abraham.
