Heather, I was surprised to see your info about John Ice as being born in Ireland. Do you have good proof of this?
My data shows John born in 1794 and died in 1834 in Franklin County, IL. He married Nancy Ceubrel about 1809 in Alabama. She was born 1792 in NC, and died after 1860 in Illinois.
John moved his family to Franklin County, IL in 1829. He died in 1834 leaving son, Andrew, with the responsibility for the family.
Nancy was living with daughter, Mary Jane Lampley, in 1860 census.
Children of John and Nancy: Tacy,Elizabeth,Andrew,James,Sarah,Martha,Mary Jane, & Martha Ellen.
Sarah was born 1823; died 1892; married Isaac Vinson on January 2, 1840, Franklin County, IL
Thurman Aldridge, descendant of James.
Tacy Ice.
Elizabeth Ice, b 1817 AL; married Laban Estes, Nov. 15, 1841, Franklin County, IL.
