Hi..My husband is a direct decendant of Frederick Ice. His family goes back to the second family born to Frederick when he moved to Barrickville, WV....In fact Indian Billy is buried in the Ice family cemetary located directly behind the home that my husband grandparents built. I have pictures of the cemetary and the headstone of Indian Billy.
I came upon this forum today....I think I can answer some of your questions based on family trees and some written history passed through this branch of the family. Give me a day or so and I will dig them out and pass along some information. We also feel that the daughter was the mother of Tecumseh???The family was very much embarassed about her time spent with the Indians that they refused to ackowlege her existance publically..She did visit years after she was captured. It is said that Billy was permitted to come and go after the war and chose his white life over his Indian life. Give me a chance to review the history I have..It was compiled witout reference to the book you referred to.
