While researching my own Ibbotson line (Bradfield Yorks, but near enough to Hathersage for the possibility of a distant connection) I cam across a duplicated booklet entitled "The Ibbotson of Hathersage" by Tom D Tomlinson. It tracks the name back to 1242 in a survey of Sheffield manors, and says that the first mention in the Hathersage Parish Church ('Ibutson' is 10 July 1629. Could possibly photocopy the booklet for you. Lost of C17 and C18 details.
