Hi Angie, I saw where there was a probate record for Hugh J. Iams and Minors Iams. Do you have a copy of these file? If so, could I get a copy of it. If not, do you have the address for the Probate Court and I will write to them. I haven't visited this site for a few days and was surprise to see your postings. These kind of postings are just great. I am so excited.
I have a Hugh J. Iams born in 1859 the son of Hugh Iams born 1817 in Maryland and died in Iowa and Catherine Moore-Purdue Iams. I don't have any other information on Hugh born in 1859. If you and Angela could give me more dates, I could probably take you back further. Hope to hear from you both. The Ijams or Iiams were Welsh. William Iiams was born in England about 1640. He married Elizabeth Cheney in Maryland. Roberta Iiames
