John Davison, employed at Davidson's Department Store

I am looking for traces of John Davison, who was born circa 1900, and lived in Sioux City where he was employed at Davidson's Department Store as a floorwalker. He was married to a cousin of mine, and I have found her in the 1944 Polk City Directory of Sioux City listed as Sue M. Davison. I am guessing John may have been inducted into a branch of the Armed Forces at that time. According to my brother, Davison went to the State of Washington and did drilling of 30-inch diameter irrigation wells. I seem to remember my cousin talking about Ritzville, Washington. That is a town southwest of Spokane.
