I am looking for the name KNEEBS. I have located the name in England (1840's), Clay county, South Dakota (1870), Sioux City (1890-1950), Wakefield, Nebraska (1890's) and Jones County, South Dakota (1910).

By typing in the name KNEEBS on google I have put togather the following family...
PORTER, John Alexander, m-OYLER, Sophia Eliza.
: . . 1 PORTER, Harriet Elizabeth, m-STONE, Gilbert Martin 2/26/1896. Gilbert d-5/1898.
: . . : . . 1 STONE, Gilbert Martin, b-7/15/1887, m-KNEEBS, Madge 6/1918.
-
After Gilbert Martin STONE (no. 1) died, Harriet Elizabeth remarried, to a James CONLEY. A son, Daniel CONLEY, was mayor of Sioux City in 1948. Harriet died in Sioux City 12/28/1931 in Sioux City and is buried Prospect Hill, Norfolk, Nebraska.

There is a William KNEEBS buried in Centerville, SD. In his obit, in 1954, a sister is mentioned, named Madge COBURN. I am assuming that the two Madges are the same person. The obit also mentions Mrs. Laura HIEB and Mrs. Eva LUSCHINGER as sisters. A George KNEEBS was listed as a brother, deceased by 1954.

Anyone know anything about the KNEEBS family?
