SHARON BAPTIST CHURCH/CEMETERY HISTORY

hello bonnie - my great grandparents were sarah hayes and george cox. my grandmother was violet cox hayes. violet is buried in the sharon cemetery. i have somewhere a short history of the sharon church. the first one burnt and it was rebuilt. my third cousin kenny williams is a sort of caretaker there. he lives in chariton iowa. his sister is irene williams bellon and she is better informed about all teh coxes and that history. there is a cox family reunion every year there is iowa and she attends that. im trying to find her again. she must be 80 years ago. i dont know if you are part of the cox family, there were several sons and daughters and there are many coxes still in corydon. that cemetery is between chariton and corydon and i have visited it about three times. i will try to find the paper i had about the church. my grandmother, great grandmother and my mother (who died when i was born) all went to that church. my name is sharon and i was named for that church.
