cccccccccccccI am searching for information on a William Hughes who was born in Ireland 1834 and had 3 other brothers-- Joseph and George and John .
They had a widowed mother who came to America also.
They came to America around the time of the famine and later the widowed mother and William ( who was 12 or a teenager) came later when the boys sent for them.
William was married to Martha Freemeyer in 1858 or 1860 in Defiance, Mo.
At one time he lived in Hartford , Iowa
William was buried in Colorado ( where his daugher lived) and Martha is buried in Victor, Iowa.
They had several children born in Mo.
Rachel, Joseph Alexander , Maggie, Cora Belle , Hannah, William Henry jr.
I have been trying to find out where in Ireland William was born and what his parents names were.
I am stuck and can go no farther until I can find out these things about the family.
